Jet skiing is an activity that has taken off over the last ten years as the vehicle combines the power of a speedboat with the manuverability of a motorbike. It is possible to hire out a jet ski for the day (driving licences may be required for this as well as a hefty deposit) or for an hour with a qualified instructor.

There are two types of jet skis; a ‘stand-up’ style, mainly used for racing, that allows you the option to sit down and a ‘tandem style’ that is designed to carry a diver and a passenger. The agility of the jet skis have also brought about ‘wake boarding’ which is a combination between jet skiing and surfing and is particularly suitable for beginners as the person driving the jet ski has more contact with the wake boarder than is possible in a speed boat.
