Discover your own Lanzarote

Jeep Safari
Explore the rugged landscape of Lanzarote or Fuerteventura on an organised jeep safari.

Not necessarily for the feint hearted the jeep safari typically explores the amazing lunar landscape and the hidden places around the island. The adventure takes you off road, and is a bit of a bumpy ride, so you'd better hang on to your hats.

You discover the natural geology of the island and possibly find a few souvenirs in the form of Olivin the semi precious stone which is in abundance within the volcanic lava rock. Visit off-beat coastal tracks, view the magnificence of the volcanic craters, get fantastic views from the sheer cliff edges high up in the mountains and experience the desert driving through the amazing sand dunes of Fuerteventura.

These trips take in lunch and often provide you with a souvenir video of your day. You can book tours direct or ask at your reception.

Quad Bike Safari
A Quad Bike tour is a totally off road experience. Drive through off road, streets, desert areas and lava fields. Visit look-out points with amazing views far removed from the main tourist routes.

All this and great fun from simply riding these vehicles. The quad bikes can also take co-drivers, so parents can bring the children along. Drivers must have a valid drivers licence. You can book tours direct or ask at your reception.

Rancho Texas Park
A trip to Rancho Texas is like a ride through the wild, wild west! Complete with wig-wams, cowboys, buffalo, crocodiles and many more tropical animals, this is a memorable attraction for all the family.

Five years in the making, no attention to detail has been overlooked. The layout is superb featuring an open-air theatre for animal shows, a huge water wheel and several waterfalls, lakes and caves and even an adventure play area for children.

There are also pony rides for kids, boat rides on the small lake for older children and a restaurant to grab a spot of lunch.

When visitors enter the park, theyare greeted by a huge owl with piercing yellow eyes. This is Sofia and she is quite some bird!

Walking around the park, to the sound of country music enhancing the wild west atmosphere, visitors can see a huge variety of animals including racoons, snakes, lizards, horses, buffalo and many, many more. There is also a spectacular array of birds.

In less than two hours at the park it is possible to see three animal shows. The eagle show, the crocodile show and the parrot show.

The shows are a big hit with children and adults alike.

Entrance to the park in Puerto del Carmen is around 14 Euros for adults & 9 Euros for children. Many hotels and complexes arrange excursions to the park which would include transport.
