Texas Park
A trip to Rancho Texas is like a ride through the wild, wild
west! Complete with wig-wams, cowboys, buffalo, crocodiles
and many more tropical animals, this is a memorable attraction
for all the family.
Five years in the making,
no attention to detail has been overlooked. The layout is
superb featuring an open-air theatre for animal shows, a huge
water wheel and several waterfalls, lakes and caves and even
an adventure play area for children.
There are also pony rides
for kids, boat rides on the small lake for older children
and a restaurant to grab a spot of lunch.
When visitors enter the park,
theyare greeted by a huge owl with piercing yellow eyes. This
is Sofia and she is quite some bird!
Walking around the park, to
the sound of country music enhancing the wild west atmosphere,
visitors can see a huge variety of animals including racoons,
snakes, lizards, horses, buffalo and many, many more. There
is also a spectacular array of birds.
In less than two hours at
the park it is possible to see three animal shows. The eagle
show, the crocodile show and the parrot show.
The shows are a big hit with
children and adults alike.
Entrance to the park in Puerto
del Carmen is around 14 Euros for adults & 9 Euros
for children. Many hotels and complexes arrange excursions
to the park which would include transport.
