Boat
Cruises
One of the best ways to see Lanzarote is from the Ocean. Relax
and take a trip on one of the many boat trips available.
Be comfortable taken across the
sea on an excursion. Most boats sail from Puerto
del Carmen,
Playa Blanca or Puerto
Calero, passing along the southern coast of the island.
There are also boat trips
in the North of the island, leaving from Órzola
to the islets of La Graciosa and Alegranza.
You can sail on a small boat,
a catamaran or a two-masted fore-and-aft schooner. There's
even a pirate ship where you will leave a real pirate!
There's a wide choice of cruises
available from short mini cruises to longer cruises which
will take in other islands. Typically all cruises offer lunch
on board and will allow drop off points for you to explore
new areas. You can go in search of dolphins and visit remote
beaches.
You can visit the islands
of Fuerteventura and Lobos, take in a local market, or just
relax on deck and soak up the sun.
Many of the boats have glass
bottoms which allow you to view all marine life in comfort,
without having to get wet.
Alternatively if you want
to make your own adventure you can always take a ferry from
Playa Blanca across to Fuerteventura. Ferries
run regularly throughout the year. There are also ferries
to Gran Canaria.
Excursions can be booked by
calling the companies,
or you can ask at your reception, or simply go and enquire
at the ports.
Prices range from around 12
Euros for mini trips, to around 45 Euros for longer day cruises.
There are usually discounts for children and infants.
